Sewing Buddha's Robe
2017 Sewing Class 10:00am - 12:00pm
Our Sewing Teacher is Rev. Cornelia Shonkwiler, Soto Zen Guiding Teacher of Middle Way Zen located in the heart of downtown San Jose, CA. She is a Dharma Heir of Les Kaye, Abbot of Kannon Do.
Rev. Shonkwiler will instruct students who are sewing the Rakusu and/or the Okesa. Her years of experience ensures students finish their work meeting standards of quality and timeliness.
To participate please contact Rev. Val Szymanski at firstname.lastname@example.org to express your interest in taking the Bodhisattva Vows and sewing a Rakusu. Fabric is provided for the Rakusu.
Along with the sewing, students study the Bodhisattva precepts and generally intensify their practice with daily meditation, attendance at sittings and engage in other practices within the sangha.
