Amy McGuire will be Lay Ordained (Jukai Ceremony) following zazen. Estimated ceremony start time will be 8:00pm. A reception will follow Amy’s ceremony. Family and friends are encouraged to attend. Chairs are available for guests.

Sejiki and Remembering Those Who Died
Following Tuesday evening's meditation session, the ceremony begins with a noisy invitation to the Hungry Ghosts to accept our offerings, provided by Sangha members, and join us in remembering those who have died during the year as well as Ancestors we want to include in this ceremony.
Practice Intensive
The theme for the Practice Intensive is “Living Buddha’s Last Words: Re-igniting Our Practice with the Mahaparinibbana Sutra”
The Practice Intensive begins on October 1, Tuesday, at 7:30 pm PDT and ends with a half-day sitting on November 2. Participating in this is a great way to deepen your practice.
Rev. Allison Draper will lead the Practice Intensive as Shuso (head student).
